Nation of pie lovers rejoice! Not only did we have national pie day back in January coming up in March we have British Pie Week! Held for the first week of March this year it falls from the 2nd to the 8th.
In true British fashion, rather than just devoting a day to pies, we have devoted a whole week.
British pie week was started in 2007 by Jus-Rol and is definitely something we can get on board with here at The Catering Butchers. Taking part in British pie week is a great way to get the whole family involved and to keep the love of pies growing throughout the generations. Whether it’s getting the kids involved in the pie-making process or going out for pie at your local restaurant it’s a great British tradition to keep alive.
We all love a good, home-made, meat-filled pie, but how many of us actually want to make our own pastry? Here at the Catering Butchers we fully support you in using ready to go pastry, after-all its the meat that makes the pie, right? Times have changed from the time where everyone made their own pastry, so why not have a look at some ready to go pastry, after all, the filling is the most important part right?
